The idea of the basic income is now so popular that we can confidentially say it, is going to happen. But what if we do it wrong?

The basic income is very clear, it has some specific features which should not be altered or changed in any way. If we’re going to do it, we’re gonna do it the right way.

Don’t change it to test it.

It is very reasonable for countries to want to test the idea before they actualize it, that’s common sense. However, if we change its mechanism there is a high possibility that it will stay like that. We have to get it right the first time.

It has to be universal.

That’s why it is also called the “universal basic income”, because every citizen will receive it, without exceptions. That can be for everyone under 18 or 20, whatever the age will be, everyone will get it.

Enough to make a living.

If the basic income is not enough to make you a living it has no purpose. That’s why the state has to build a mechanism that will allow basic income to always be enough to make a living.

Basic income is the evolution of Capitalism

It’s capitalism, but with without the poverty, the perfect system. It can provide true individual freedom, make people more productive, grow the economy and most importantly, completely solve poverty.

It has positive effect on people

“There are concerns that some people will spend their basic income on alcohol and drugs. However, studies of the impact of direct cash transfer programs provide evidence to the contrary.

A 2014 World Bank review of 30 scientific studies concludes that “concerns about the use of cash transfers for alcohol and tobacco consumption are unfounded”.”, Wikipedia mentions.

That means that it may even reduce many negative behaviors of the people, we haven’t found any negative effects so far.
