How Basic Income Could Fix Capitalism

Our current economic model, is what made possible the recent innovation explosion in all fields, and the engine the human progress, and wealth creation. However, not everyone is happy with it, and for a reason.

Poverty

In the article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it says that “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services,

and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”

In order for someone to survive in today’s world, he should have a certain amount of money. However, right now our economic system has a starting point of $0. That means that someone has to make money first, in order to get ahead. And a 9-5 job is not the solution.

How people will start their own businesses, do what they love or be useful to society human progress, when at the same time are depressed and anxious, and worried about they’re survival?

The solution

A Basic Income, with our current system. That means that we’ll still be innovative, enjoying personal freedom and every other right, and at the same time, if something goes wrong we’ll always have a bottom layer of safety.

When people are in good moral state, they tend to be more efficient in any job they do. That’s why a basic income to every adult will fix our model and boost the human race forward.

The idea of a universal basic income is getting support from all around the world, from all the political spectrum, and even from entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Especially the recent months, the idea has been booming.
